Highlights of the EPIC Punta Cana Retreat in the Dominican Republic!

A couple of weeks ago, the winners of our most recent contest attended a spectacular retreat in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic at the all-inclusive Hard Rock resort set against beautiful white sand and turquoise blue ocean. The event kicked off on a Thursday afternoon, with about a hundred of us – wearing matching pink t-shirts – participating in a “community stand” service project cleaning a local beach to help give back to the host community. Later that evening, everyone mingled at the resort for a lively “Meet and Greet” with drinks and snacks.

Friday morning, we started with a big group session where everyone received a nice B-Epic branded computer bag packed with B-Epic products. CEO Dan Putnam spoke about some incredible new products being launched and the exciting future of the company. And, special keynote speaker, Stanecia Graham, shared how she builds her team and uses a sampling program. It was truly inspiring! The rest of the day, groups explored the area taking in the great local restaurants, shops, and entertainment, including an amazing aerial circus show and a Michael Jackson music tribute.   

The retreat culminated with a fun dinner/dance party Saturday evening. A tropical theme brought us all together in colorful island apparel. We were treated to a special concert by Haury Cerdas – a B-Epic member from Costa Rica who performed an original song he wrote for B-Epic. Then the group partied and danced the night away thanks to the dynamic disc jockey, fantastic food, and wonderful atmosphere. The feeling of family, inclusion, and love was amazing!

Do We Need To Reinvent The Wheel?

As many of you are aware, we just held an amazing event for 50 winners and their guests in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It was a super event in a most beautiful place. As I listened to Dan and our keynote speaker Stanecia Graham, I thought to myself, “how often we think we need to recreate the wheel.”

It seems all-too-often, we all think we need to come up with a bigger, better, new way of doing things. But while we’re figuring that out, we’re not actually working or building our business. Instead, we’re letting our excitement and desire just waste away or get diluted while we spend our time thinking about “the new wheel” we’re going to create someday.

Instead, let’s all commit to work on what we already know works! (And let’s determine it is okay to do those things even if we are scared or out of comfort zone.) So, I encourage you to focus on the two “wheel” we know lead to the most success in this industry: RETENTION & DUPLICATION. And the first step is to DO IT NOW. Your excitement, determination, and bank account will grow.

Who knows, by just doing what you know already works and doing it consistently, you may earn enough money for those real new wheels!

If Not Now, When?

HELLO TO ALL OF YOU! I haven’t written anything for a couple of months but every day I think of all of you. As the guys are working on new ideas and we are planning new products and marketing strategies, I keep remembering one of the sayings we have used a few times and talk about a lot among ourselves.

IF NOT NOW, WHEN?

That thought or saying can be applied to most anything in our lives. I think we especially need to think of this when we are talking about something we really don’t like to do very much. IF YOU DON’T MAKE 10 CALLS TODAY RIGHT NOW, THEN WHEN? I have started asking myself that question every time I want to put an important task off. I say it aloud. “Lynn, IF NOT NOW, WHEN?” Almost always I realize I need to go ahead and do it now. I am finding I get a lot more of the things done that I really should be doing, and I can then celebrate that I am not procrastinating and running the risk of forgetting. 

Just try this idea! I think you will find it will really be effective and you can avoid a lot of those miserable guilt feelings. Remember, IF NOT NOW, WHEN?
